Our stake YM & YW decided to walk from our stake center to the Temple (approximately 22 miles). We knew that we needed to train so we planned several hikes. And because Nate and Emily are in YM & YW we were able to spend lots of time together with Joel and Gabby. (Gabby really wanted to do the walk and even though she's not YW age yet, we let her come along).
Mt. Woodson
Our first hike was Mt. Woodson. There are a lot of rocks to climb up there, which makes it fun for the kids. This is a piece of rock that shoots out from a large bolder, its called the Diving Board.
It was a beautiful day!
Mother Miguel Mt.
Our next hike was Mother Miguel Mt. and around Sweetwater reservoir.
El Cajon Mt.
Our last hike was El Cajon Mt. This was by far the most strenuous.
But, we made it!
We even saw Uncle Brad on the trail (you can check out his blog for that picture!).
After all of these hikes we did the Temple walk. We (Nate, Emily, Joel, Gabby, and lots of other people) made it. It was a fun day!
