Every year a local scout troop puts on a triathlon. Anyone 12 and up can participate. Nate and I have participated in the past, and this year Gabby and Joel were able to participate also. Joel and Gabby were on separate teams. Joel was doing the bike leg for his team and Gabby was doing the swimming. When we got to the event, Gabby decided that she wanted to do the entire race.
She was a little leery of the swim section at first. It was in the bay. We had come down a couple weeks earlier and she did it. But the morning of the race the beach had an awful lot of dead jellyfish on it.
She wasn't too excited when she saw the jellyfish.
But, she sucked it up a did the swim.
Transition
She borrowed her Young Women president's bike. Lucky thing she brought it!
There's Joel doing his section. He is tall enough now that he now fits Nate's road bike.
Here's Gabby coming to the finish line. She did the entire 2 mile run barefoot!
