We had a very busy summer. We made a couple of quick trips to Idaho amongst many other things. Here is a short overview of what we did.
On our first trip to Idaho, the main purpose was for family pictures. I drove the kids up and stayed the week and Nate had to fly up to meet us for the weekend.
Here is a little of what we did.

One day Laura and I snuck out for breakfast with Miranda and Jack while everyone else slept in.
This isn't exactly a highlight. In fact, it's kind of scary.
Grandma has a "grandma pass" to the Science Center. We spent an afternoon playing there.
Jack and Miranda doing the weather.
After the Science Center, we went on the paddle boats.
Then, we had snow cones.
It can get a little chaotic at grandma's with all the grandkids there.
Gabby attended her first Girl's Camp this summer. She had a good time with her friends and participating in the many activities.
She was a pretty good shot!
This was a 5:30 am hike.
It was a fun camp!
Joel went to camp also. This year our region did a Zion's Camp.
There were a lot of scout there!

We picnicked with the cousins.
Joel is blessed with good friends. One of his projects that he had to do this summer was pull out a very large palm tree stump. He had been working on it for days, when a group of his friends came over and helped him get it out.
The next trip to Idaho was to drop the kids off at grandma and grandpa's house to be spoiled for a few weeks.
We stopped by and saw baby Milo (and Kathleen too) on the way.
We visited great-grandma at her new place. Everyone is laughing in this picture because grandma made the comment that it was the first time that Joel had a woman's arm around him!
In Idaho . . .
Grandpa, Nate and I went for a ride on the greenbelt.
We went to Birds of Prey and we discovered that Nate has the same wingspan as a turkey vulture (is anybody surprised?).
Here is Nate dressed as a condor. He will do anything for his girls!
A baby condor.
Playing at a lake.
Floating down a stream.
After we dropped the kids off we had a few weeks to ourselves.
A romantic walk on the beach.
Gabby and Megan came home a few days early from grandma's so they could go on the Young Women Sierra trip with us. I was in charge of the trip, so I drug Nate along to help.
This was my first time seeing a snake in the Sierra mountains.
We went to Jenny lake again (the same place we took the kids last year). Gabby found another log to float on.
The whole crew (almost).
And of course we went to the beach!

What a great summer! Grandma showed me that pic of her w/ Joel and Nate. Everyone is growing up so fast! I miss you guys. We ran down to SD once this summer and I was wishing I'd grabbed your number to see if you wanted to meet up at the beach. I'll try better next time!
