A bit of our summer

Summer always seems to fly by. This year was no exception. Here are a few of the things that went on with the James family.
We attempted a garden. We had a bit of success with tomatoes, peppers, squash, berries, and even a pumpkin!

Gabby and I got to go to Girl's Camp again this year.

While we were at Girl's Camp, Miranda went to visit Grandma and Grandpa.

A sad day for San Diego, Mr. Padre, Tony Gwynn, passed away.
He was remembered all over the city.

 Joel got his learner permit.

He also played basketball on a summer league.

We played a bit of tennis in the heat.

We went mountain biking.

Our Scout Troop participated in On Target.
For this, different Scout Troops hike to the top of different peaks. Then, they use mirrors to signal each other. The signaling was supposed to go from Mexico to Canada.

The boys camped out and hiked to their peak the next morning. Nate and I met them at the top. It was pretty cool, they were on a peak in Laguna and they saw a signal from the top of Mt. Palomar.

We went to the beach. A lot!
Cameron came down to hangout for a couple weeks

In Idaho, the girls hiked to a waterfall with Aunt Laura.
Scout and I drove up to Grandma and Grandpa's to pick up the girls and Jack.
I hung out on the front porch swing. It was very relaxing!
 We also played some games.
The very first roll of the game was a Yahtzee!
Way to go Miranda!
On the way home I bought Gabby her favorite fish tacos (she loves the mango salsa) from the Whoa Nellie Deli in Lee Vining.

The summer wrapped up with youth conference. Joel helped paint a house for the service project and I was asked to chaperone.
Another great summer comes to an end!
