trip to mammoth

In June we went to Mammoth for a little family reunion with the Stanton family.
The night that we drove up there it was snowing in the mountains. The ranger told us that it was the wettest June on record.

Here is Nate warming up next to the campfire with some hot chocolate. It was so cold. It was the end of June, but for us native San Diegans it felt like winter.

The kids had fun paddling the kayak around the lake.

The only time Nate was able to lay in his hammack.
(Everyone loves Uncle Nate!)

Miranda and Twin lakes

Our little friend that we shared a campsite with.
